Patrice Désilets - E3 2007

Patrice Désilets (* 1974 in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu ) is a Canadian designer of computer games .

Career

Patrice Désilets studied film studies and literature at the University of Montréal .

In 1998 he joined Ubisoft Montréal (as one of the first employees) . His first project there was Hype: The Time Quest . Désilets acted as lead game designer on this title . He then worked on Donald Duck : Quack Attack and the console version of Rainbow Six 3 .

Until the end of 2003 Patrice Désilets worked as Creative Director on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and received one of the Game Developers Choice Awards (category Excellence in Game Design ).

In 2004, the development of the action adventure Assassin's Creed began , in which he was also involved as creative director. This was completed in autumn 2007. In January 2011, THQ recruited Patrice Désilets and three other employees from Ubisoft Montreal. This led to a legal battle with which Ubisoft tried to prevent THQ from poaching further Ubisoft employees.

Patrice Désilets lives in Montreal .
