Patricia Hayes

Patricia Lawlor Hayes (born December 22, 1909 in London , † September 19, 1998 in Surrey ) was a British comedian and actress .

Life

Patricia Hayes was born in the London borough of Streatham . She attended school in the Wandsworth neighborhood. Between 1940 and 1996 she can look back on a long list of television shows and films. She has appeared in British comedy shows such as Hancock's Half Hour , Ray's A Laugh , The Arthur Asking Show , THE Bargee 1964 , The Benny Hill Show , Till Death Us Do Part and films such as The Neverending Story and A Fish Called Wanda . In George Lucas ' fantasy film Willow she was seen in the role of "Fin Raziel".

In the late 1940s she spoke for Henry Bones on the BBC radio show Norman and Henry Bones - The Boy Detectives . She won a BAFTA award for portraying the lead role in the 1971 television film Edna, the Inebriate Woman .

Hayes was married to actor Valentine Brooks, from whom she divorced. The son Richard, also an actor, emerged from the marriage. She was also the head of the British Catholic Stage Guild . After she passed away in September 1998, her son took this office.
