Patrick Ricard

Patrick Louis Ricard (born May 12, 1945 in Marseille - † August 17, 2012 in Toulon ) was a French manager .

Life

The son of Paul Ricard (1909–1997) attended the Lycée Périer in Marseille and then completed a degree in economics. In 1967 he joined the management of his father's company Ricard as a consultant . In 1970 he became a branch director and in 1971 he was appointed general manager of the company. In 1975 Ricard merged with the competitor Pernod to Pernod Ricard . From 1978 to 2008, he held the position of general director (président-directeur général) for the entire group.

On August 17, 2012, Patrick Ricard died at the age of 67 as a result of a heart attack that he suffered on his private island of Bendor.
