Patrik Haglund ['hɑːglɵnd] (* May 27, 1870 , † December 8, 1937 ) was a Swedish surgeon and orthopedist . He had the first orthopedic - professor of Scandinavia at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm held and wrote in German in 1923, the first Nordic orthopedic textbook entitled Principles of Orthopedics (published by Gustav Fischer, Jena, 1923). In 1936 Haglund was elected a member of the Leopoldina .
