Patrik Kovačovský

Patrik Kovačovský (born September 14, 1970 in Bratislava ) is a Slovak artist and curator .

life and work

Kovačovský studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava and multimedia and film at AC California. In 1996 he received the Visual Artist of the Year Award (now the Oskár Čepan Award).

Kovačovský works with different media and combines installation , sculpture , painting and computer graphics. Recently he has also been integrating film and photography. In 1997 he took part in the accompanying program for documenta X , at EXPO 2000 in Hanover and at the Biennale for Multimedia and Film in Paris.

Since 2007 he has worked as the head of the Department of Art in Architecture at the Bratislava Art Academy. His works are in Slovak and international collections.
