Patrik Lauer (* 9. January 1964 ) is a German politician ( SPD ) since 2012 and district administrator of the district of Saarlouis .

Life

Lauer attended the primary school in Nalbach and the grammar school at the Stadtgarten in Saarlouis . After finishing school, he studied law . In 1992 he became a judge at the Kaiserslautern Regional Court . From 1993 to 2003 he was a judge at the Saarland Administrative Court in Saarlouis.

Lauer, who has been a member of the SPD since 1983, has been mayor of the Nalbach community since 2003 . In 2010 he was re-elected. On January 22nd, 2012 he was elected to the district administrator of the Saarlouis district and took up his new office on March 15th, 2012. The election became necessary after Lauer's predecessor, Monika Bachmann (CDU), became Minister for Labor, Family, Social Affairs, Prevention and Sport in the Kramp-Karrenbauer I cabinet in August 2011 . Lauer's successor as mayor of Nalbach was Peter Lehnert. In the local elections on May 26, 2019, Lauer was confirmed in office with 61.05 percent of the votes.

Lauer is the father of two children, a son and a daughter.
