Patriot in the amusement park California's Great America ( Santa Clara , California , USA ) is a steel roller coaster from the model Floorless Coaster by the manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard , which was opened on March 9, 1991. Originally it went under the name Vortex and was a stand-up coaster . After Iron Wolf in Six Flags Great America , it was the manufacturer's second roller coaster and also the manufacturer's second stand-up coaster. For the 2017 season, the run was converted from a stand-up to a floorless roller coaster and at the same time renamed the Patriot .
Trains
Patriot owns two trains with seven cars each. Four people (one row) can be seated in each car. Shoulder straps are used as a restraint system.
