Patritius of Heydon
Patritius von Heydon (* 1648 ; † 25 August 1730 ) was a German Augustinian canon and from 1682 to 1730 the 40th provost of the Rohr monastery .
Life
Patritius II Baron von Heydon came from Straubing . After joining the monastery and completing theological studies, he was parish vicar in Laaberberg from 1674 to 1677 . In 1682 he was elected provost of the Augustinian canons in Rohr. After the turmoil of the Thirty Years War he had all the churches in his area of influence baroque . So he brought the young Asam brothers to Rohr, where they rebuilt the church building in baroque splendor. Under his leadership, the Rohr convent grew again to an impressive size.
