Patrizio Franco Buanne (born September 20, 1978 in Vienna ) is an Austrian-Italian baritone , songwriter and music producer .

Life

At the age of eleven, Buanne took part in talent competitions. Several small music productions and appearances with his rock'n'roll band followed, as well as solo appearances. When he was seventeen, a music producer arranged a performance for Pope John Paul II to visit Wrocław, Poland. The song, half in Italian and half in Polish, had been written for the opening of the mass. The recognition of 85,000 attendees earned him his first music contract Angelo di Dio (1997).

At the age of 19, Buanne finished his studies in Vienna and moved back to Italy. He studied foreign languages at the University of Rome. He was also a guest and entertainer in Italian television programs such as Momenti di Gloria , Domenica In and Libero . This led to a contract with the company that produced programs for the broadcasters RAI and Mediaset . Buanne also invested money in concerts and the self-distributed CDs and DVDs of Shake the Spaghetti (2002).

In 2004 his debut album was produced: The Italian was completed at Abbey Road Studio with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London. It was released in February 2005 and reached the top ten on the UK pop charts, where it went gold within a week. The CD was awarded platinum in South Africa and New Zealand and triple platinum in Australia. Following the release of The Italian , Buanne went on two tours in 2006, including a six-week tour of theaters and concert halls in Australia, Asia, South Africa and Europe. His DVD, filmed at a concert, was shown on the American television station PBS , which led to his first US tour. He played these in concert halls with 2500 - 3000 seats.

In October 2006, A. Kenneth Ciongoli, director of the National Italian American Foundation invited Buanne to sing at their annual gala in Washington DC. There he was introduced to the American President.

Buanne's second album, Forever Begins Tonight , reached number 53 in the US. On the CD is a version of Angels (called "Un Angelo"), originally by Robbie Williams . This song became Patrizio's first radio hit in America. The Italian and Forever Begins Tonight have sold several million CDs worldwide. To advance his career, Buanne moved to America. Two years later he signed a contract with Jim Morey in Los Angeles.

Morey secured Universal a new contract and began recording Patrizio's third album under the guidance of music producers Humberto Gatica and Brian Rawlings. This CD, titled Patrizio (2009), beat all of Patrizio Buanne's previous records. A tour through Australia and Asia and a very successful advertising tour through America followed in 2010, the album reached number 4 on the National Jazz Billboard Charts. Since then he has been under contract with Concord Records - Universal and Warner Music Germany .

Buanne's Italian Songbook and its European approach and interpretation of international and American standards became, in addition to his own compositions, his trademark and gave him the title of "Ambassador of Dolce Vita". He has recorded albums in English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Polish, Afrikaans, Japanese and Chinese.
