Patschkau dialect
The Patschkau dialect (in the dialect Potschker Mundoart , Poatschker Mundoart ) is the dialect spoken in Upper Silesia (formerly Patschkau ). It belongs to the Silesian dialects .
Distribution area
The dialect was spoken in the East Sudetes , both in the southwest province of Upper Silesia and northeast Bohemia . After the flight and expulsion of the German-speaking population after the Second World War, this dialect is largely only spoken sporadically in Upper Silesia and the diaspora . and is acutely threatened with extinction.
