Karl Klings (born January 11, 1867 in Geseß , Neisse district ; † September 11, 1940 in Berlin ) was a German school director in Berlin-Schöneberg and a Silesian dialect poet .

Klings comes from the Neisser Lande. He went to school in the village of Geseß near Patschkau (today Paczków ) and then, as a highly gifted boy, went to Dürr-Arnsdorf for the preparation work. From there he switched to the teacher training college in Bad Ziegenhals . From 1900 he worked as a teacher and later as rector in Berlin and wrote many poems in the Patschkau dialect , that is, in mountain Silesian .
