Patto was a rap duo from Germany. It was founded in Munich in 1983 and consisted of the pop composer Thomas Fuchsberger (1957-2010) and the rapper Patrick Gammon (1956-1996). The band name is an acronym from the first letters of the two first names.
Career
Fuchsberger, son of the actor Joachim Fuchsberger , had pursued a career as a pop composer since the early 1980s and twice participated in the German preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest. Gammon began his career as a pianist with Ike & Tina Turner . In the 1970s he came to Munich and worked as a studio musician. Between 1978 and 1985 he released five solo albums.
Under the name Patto, the single Black and White was released in 1983 , which reached the top ten of the German charts. The following releases, including the duo's only album, did not achieve any notable success.
