Patty Cisneros

Patty Cisneros (born November 12, 1977 ) is an American wheelchair basketball player .

Cisneros has been a member of the US women's national wheelchair team since 1999. In 2000 in Sydney she took part in the Paralympic Games for the first time and reached fifth place with her team. At the next games in Athens in 2004 , Cisneros won a gold medal with her team. In 2008 in Beijing she was able to repeat this success.

Cisneros studied at Valparaiso University and then attended the University of Illinois , where she is aiming for a master's degree. Since September 2007 she has been the head coach of the women's wheelchair basketball team at the University of Illinois. In this role, she led the team in the 2008 NWBA Women's Division National Championships .
