Paul-Henri Steinauer (born November 26, 1948 ) is a Swiss legal scholar with a focus on inheritance law , marriage law and property law .

Academic

Steinauer, who holds a doctorate and habilitation, is currently the holder of the French-language chair for civil law at the University of Friborg (Switzerland) . From 1995 to 2003 he was rector of the University of Freiburg im Üechtland . In 2015 he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Lucerne .
