Paul , also Paúl , is a district ('concelho') of the island of Santo Antão in the northwest of Cape Verde . Paul is northeast of Porto Novo and east of Ribeira Grande . In the district is the Freguesia Santo António das Pombas with the places Curral da Russa and Pombas .
