Paul Conrad (theologian)

Paul Conrad (born April 1, 1865 in Berlin ; † September 9, 1927 there ) was a German Protestant theologian .

Live and act

Conrad attended the Joachimsthalsche Gymnasium in Berlin. The subsequent study of theology at the Berlin Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität he successfully completed with a doctorate. On June 28, 1898, he was ordained a pastor. He came to the Berlin Cathedral Candidate Foundation in 1891, became its inspector and at the same time cathedral assistant preacher. Subsequently, he took over parish offices at St. Jacobi, from 1907 first parish posts at the Zionskirche and then at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church . His work has been recognized by the following appointments:

After Ernst Vits was appointed general superintendent of the Neumark and pastor at the Matthäikirche in Berlin in 1925, Paul Conrad was awarded the office of Ephorus of the Royal Cathedral Candidate Foundation (Berlin) in conjunction with that of the High Cathedral Preacher . In memory of Conrad, a stone tablet was attached to the memorial hall of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church on Breitscheidplatz. His grave is in the Luisenfriedhof II .
