Paul Faulstich (* 1872 in Mechterstädt ; † 1943 in Leipzig ) was a German photographer. He dealt with the development of color photography and discovered the gutta color process.

life and work

Faulstich had a studio called Helionovum at Lindenauer Markt  2 in Leipzig. He mainly focused on architectural photography . In the City History Museum in Leipzig there are numerous shots lazy stitch, as are the Leipziger Messe Amteses photo collection shots stitch Faul received.

Faulstich's photographs were used in the book Leipzig in the 1920s by Mark Lehmstedt, as well as in Leipzig in 1991 . Photographs from 1867 to 1929 . In 2011 the exhibition Leipzig was in Leipzig. Photography can be seen since 1839 , in which works by Faulstich were also shown.
