Paul Felgentreff
Paul Felgentreff (born August 3, 1854 in Potsdam , † 1933 in Munich ) was a German landscape and genre painter.
Felgentreff studied at the Royal Art Academy and Applied Arts School in Leipzig with Ludwig Nieper . After graduating, he taught lithography at the same university from 1879 to 1884. In 1884 he moved to Munich, studied from April 21, 1884 to 1890 at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich with Otto Seitz and later with Franz von Defregger .
He then worked as a freelance genre painter in Munich. He mainly created pictures from Bavarian and Tyrolean folk life. His works were influenced by Defregger's art. Since 1891 he took part in art exhibitions in Berlin, Munich and Dresden.
