Artistic attitude

In the creation of his sculptures and objects, Paul Hirsch strives to depict the interaction between change and persistence. The viewer of his works is invited to experience new perspectives, ways of feeling and thinking. Since many of his objects consist of several basic elements that are not permanently connected to each other, they look a little different after each new construction. Even the titles of his sculptures, objects and installations are newly chosen to match the overall context of the respective exhibition. For Paul Hirsch, contextuality is very important because the viewer is more interwoven with his actions and experiences than ever with his direct and wider surroundings.

Reviews

“The artistic objects by Paul Hirsch create tension through the contrast of heaviness and lightness, stability and grace. In his sculptures and objects, curved metal rods are put together to form installations, in which the connection of the rods creates an intertwining and coexistence between chaos and order. Depending on the perspective and location of the observer, an impenetrable labyrinth or a comprehensible system is presented. "
