Paul Imke

Paul Imke (March 8, 1892 - April 3, 1964 ), nicknamed Annoncen-Imke , was a German football player . He is the honorary captain of Eintracht Frankfurt .

Career

Imke moved from Hanover 96 to Frankfurter FV in 1919 , which in 1920 merged with the Frankfurt gymnastics community to form Eintracht Frankfurt . Imke had previously played for SC Weißenfels , Weißenfelser FC Preußen 1900 , Leipzig BC 1893 and for FV Hannovera 1898 Hannover , which joined Hannover 96 in 1913. As a striker , he played 18 district championship games and ten games in the three finals of the South German championship until 1922. In 1922 he ended his active career, but was reactivated in the 1924/25 season , in which Eintracht fought relegation in the Main District League, and with a double goal win in the 2-1 victory over FC Helvetia 1902 Bockenheim, he was instrumental in keeping up the league at. He was also used in two other point games and also played two games in the competition for the South German Cup .
