René Rebibo (born November 11, 1917 in Oran ; † May 3, 1998 ) was a French football player .

Career

Rebibo began his career with the first division club Olympique Marseille , for whom he made his debut on November 11, 1936 and thus his 19th birthday in a 2-0 win against AS Cannes ; even if the defender was not called up again in the course of the 1936/37 season, he was officially part of the French championship team of 1937 thanks to his one mission.

In the same year he left Marseille and moved to the second division Girondins Bordeaux ; then he returned to the first class with his move to FC Sochaux , but then had to interrupt his career due to the Second World War . After the end of the war he played from 1945 to 1946 for the second division team SO Montpellier and achieved promotion with this; Rebibo himself did not go back to the first division, however, as he found work with the second division RC Besançon . In 1947 he ended his career at the age of 29.
