Paul Jakisch

Paul Jakisch (born July 17, 1825 in Opole , Silesia ; † November 27, 1912 in Bytom ) was a German architect and politician .

Life

Paul Jakisch was born in 1825 as the son of the Opole master mason August Jakisch and his wife Marianna. Born Schwarz in Opole, Upper Silesia. On July 24th, the baptism took place in the Kreuzkirche in Opole .

Jakisch mainly worked as an architect in the Upper Silesian industrial area. Between 1864 and 1903 he was councilor for the city of Bytom. At that time he was also head of the building committee and a member of the city's Catholic church council. In 1890 he was made an honorary citizen of the city of Bytom.

Jakisch died on November 27, 1912 at 9:15 a.m. in Beuthen. He was buried in the Mater-Dolorosa cemetery in Bytom .
