Paul E. Kanjorski

Paul E. Kanjorski (born April 2, 1937 in Nanticoke , Luzerne County , Pennsylvania ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party . He was a member of the US House of Representatives from 1985 to 2011 , where he last represented the eleventh congressional electoral district of the state of Pennsylvania.

His constituency included the cities of Scranton , Wilkes-Barre and Hazleton and most of the Poconos , a low mountain range on the border with New Jersey .

Parliamentary work

He was a member of the Financial Services Committee of the House of Representatives, where he headed the Capital Markets Subcommittee. Kanjorski was also a member of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform .

Private life

Kanjorski lives in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania; he has a daughter with his wife Nancy.
