Paul Klingenburg

Paul Klingenburg (born October 19, 1907 in Duisburg , † September 4, 1964 in Assmannshausen ) was a German water polo player .

Paul Klingenburg was goalkeeper at the Duisburg swimming club from 1898 . At the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 he played six games, including the final game against Hungary, which ended 2-2. Hungary received the gold medal because of the better goal difference, Germany won silver. In total, Klingenburg took part in 37 international matches for Germany.

After the Second World War, Klingenburg and his wife Hedwig took over his father-in-law's hotel in Assmannshausen.
