Paul Kogut

Paul Kogut (* 1966 with Utica ) is an American jazz guitarist and music teacher .

Paul Kogut grew up in Utica , New York State, where he initially had lessons from Carmen Caramanica; later with Mick Goodrick and Pat Martino in Philadelphia. He studied at the Manhattan School of Music and taught jazz guitar at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York . On his third album Turn of Phrase (2012) Kogut plays in a trio with George Mraz and Lewis Nash . During his career, Kogut worked a. a. with Charles Earland , Clark Terry and JR Monterose , Drew Gress , Ronnie Burrage , Sheryl Bailey and Randy Sandke .
