Paul Marie Oudin

Paul Marie Oudin (* 1851 in Épinal , † 1923 ibid) was a French doctor and radiologist .

Together with Jacques-Arsène d'Arsonval (1851–1940) he developed the oudin coil , a variant of the Tesla coil , around 1899 for therapeutic purposes ( electrotherapy ) . In 1906 he and F. Verchère used radiation therapy to treat uterine cancer . He worked with Antoine Louis Gustave Béclère on the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis .
