Paul Neese

Paul Neese (born April 10, 1939 in Westersode ; † April 3, 2000 in Hemmoor ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Neese attended elementary school from 1946 to 1954 and then began an apprenticeship as a machine fitter at Hemmoor Zement AG between 1954 and 1957 . Neese attended further training on the 2nd educational path. In 1959 he joined the chemical-paper-ceramics union . He was also elected to the works council of Hemmoor Zement AG in 1963. Between 1965 and 1967 he was deputy chairman and from 1967 to 1983 chairman of the works council.

Neese has been a member of the SPD since 1959. He was district chairman of the SPD in the district of Cuxhaven and a member of the SPD district committee for North Lower Saxony. From 1964 to 1968 he was councilor of the municipality of Westersode and was first councilor in 1968 and mayor of the municipality, now the town of Hemmoor, in 1981 . In 1972 he became a councilor of the municipality of Hemmoor . Between 1972 and 1977 he was a member of the district council of the Hadeln district and from 1977 of the Cuxhaven district. Neese was elected to the Lower Saxony State Parliament for the ninth to eleventh electoral term from June 21, 1978 to June 20, 1990. He was secretary of the Lower Saxony state parliament from June 22, 1982 to June 20, 1990.
