Paul Pezos (born February 11, 1979 in Adelaide ) is an Australian football player .

Career

Pezos played from 1996 to 1999 for West Adelaide SC in the National Soccer League , the highest Australian division. In three seasons he played a total of 57 league games, the club finished in the lower half of the table. After West Adelaide withdrew from gaming for financial reasons in 1999, Pezos' time in the NSL also ended. His whereabouts in the following five years is unclear, at the latest from 2005 he played for Adelaide City in the major league of South Australia .

In October 2006, Pezos received a short-term contract over a month to replace the injured Mark Robertson with the A-League club Perth Glory on the recommendation of his Adelaide coach Damian Mori , who was a striker in Perth for years . Pezos played three games during this time, in his last appearance against Adelaide United he was sent off after 75 minutes because of an elbow strike. In 2007 he completed a trial training session with the local A-League team Adelaide United, but disputes over the release of friendly matches between City and United canceled a possible move.

With Adelaide City Pezos won five championships (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010) and is a regular member of South Australia selection teams . He was team captain for several seasons and was named "Team of the Year" in 2006. In 2010 he played at Adelaide Olympic for some time .
