Adelaide City is a sports club based in Adelaide , Australia . He is also known as the Adelaide City Force and played in the National Soccer League (NSL) for many years . He now plays in the South Australian Super League .
Founding years
The club was founded by Italian immigrants, who also make up the bulk of the fan base, and was called "Juventus" between 1946 and 1966. In 1966 the club was renamed "Adelaide Juventus" and in 1977 "Adelaide City". The black and white striped jerseys are also referred to as “zebras”.
