Paul Pierné

Paul Pierné (born June 30, 1874 in Metz , † March 24, 1952 in Paris ) was a French composer .

Gabriel Pierné's cousin studied at the Conservatoire de Paris with Georges Caussade and Charles Lenepveu and won the Second (second) Prix ​​de Rome in 1904 . He was organist at St-Paul-St-Louis in Paris.

In addition to two operas and several ballets , he composed two symphonies , a symphonic poem , a concerto for oboe, cello and orchestra, chamber music works, piano and organ pieces as well as a mass , an oratorio and choral works.
