Paul Portmann

Paul Portmann (* 1914 ; † unknown) was a Swiss art historian .

Life

Portmann received his doctorate in 1956 from the University of Zurich under Gotthard Jedlicka with a thesis on Ferdinand Hodler . In his best-known work, he deals with the painting of Master Bertram (1963). But he also devoted his research to the late baroque .
