Paul Stewart (writer)

Paul Stewart (born June 4, 1955 in London ) is a British writer . He studied Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia . After a long stay outside of England (including Sri Lanka and Germany), during which he worked as a teacher, he has been working as a children's book author since 1990 . His first works published in Germany were the eleven-volume Klippenland Chronicles , which were created in collaboration with the illustrator Chris Riddell . Paul Stewart lives in Brighton with his wife and two children .

Stewart and Riddell won first place in the 2004 Nestlé Smarties Book Prize for their joint work Fergus Crane .
