Callum Keith Rennie (born September 14, 1960 in Sunderland , Tyne and Wear , Great Britain ) is a Canadian actor .

Life

Callum Keith Rennie was born in England to Scottish parents. He has an older brother and a younger brother. At the age of four he moved with his family to Edmonton , Alberta, Canada, where he spent most of his youth. At the age of 25 he began his acting career at the theater in Edmonton and soon took acting lessons at the Bruhanski Theater Studio in Vancouver , where he made his first contacts in the film and television industry and where he lives to this day.

Rennie is mainly known in Europe for supporting roles in popular television series such as Highlander , The X Files or Nikita , and in particular for his roles as Stanley Kowalski in Ein Mountie in Chicago and as Cylon Leoben Conoy in Battlestar Galactica .

His best-known role in Germany so far was the character John Wakefield in the series Harper's Island .

Trivia

The Canadian rock band Billy Talent named themselves after the character Billy Tallent, who played Callum Keith Rennie in the film 'Hard Core Logo'.
