Paul Thon

Paul Thon (* 1852 ; † after 1917) was a German manager. From 1913 to 1918 he was General Manager of Victoria Insurance .

Act

Thon had been working in the field for Victoria Insurance since June 1, 1876. On April 1, 1887, he was appointed from Frankfurt am Main as director of the insurance company in Berlin. He was appointed director when Otto Gerstenberg was appointed director general. Thon had been General Director of the two Victoria companies (Life and Fire) in Berlin since Otto Gerstenberg left the company on January 1, 1913, and shared this role with Richard Utech from July 15, 1913 .

Thon himself remained general manager until January 1, 1918. He was also a member of the board of directors of what was then the most important German insurance company and was in charge of the construction of the Victoria commercial buildings at Lindenstrasse 20-21 .
