Richard Utech

Friedrich Wilhelm Heinrich Richard Utech (born August 26, 1868 in Berlin ; † August 22, 1940 there ) was a German business manager . Utech was from 1913 to 1932 the Victoria insurance as general manager before.

Life

Utech received his doctorate in 1892 at the University of Halle with a dissertation on word distortions in Shakespeare for Dr. phil.

On June 15, 1893, he joined Victoria Insurance and started in the accident department. On September 7, 1896, he came into the field service administration, in which Utech on February 22, 1904 became head. On March 1, 1906, he became head of the mortgage department. On May 1, 1912, he was appointed authorized signatory and from January 1, 1913, when General Director Otto Gerstenberg resigned, he was appointed director.

As early as July 15, 1913, Utech was appointed director general alongside Paul Thon , and from January 1, 1918 was the sole director general of Victoria Insurance.

In 1932, after 40 years of service with the insurance company, he resigned from his position as general director of Victoria Life, Fire and Reinsurance for health reasons. His successor was the previous director of the Herner Grubenvereinsbank Dr. Emil Herzfelder .

In addition, from March 28, 1903, he was chairman of the Association of German Insurance Officials in Berlin.

Utech lived in Berlin-Schlachtensee in 1936.
