Paul Wendlandt

Paul Wendlandt (born September 10, 1852 in Neu Teterin , † April 19, 1916 in Altlüdersdorf ) was a German ornithologist .

Life

After studying at the University of Greifswald and the Royal Prussian Forest Academy in Hannoversch Münden , Paul Wendlandt worked in various Prussian forest rangers, including St. Goarshausen am Rhein and Tapiau in East Prussia . In 1912 he was transferred to Alt Lüdersdorf. He put together a valuable collection of eggs, hides and butterflies and was considered a knowledgeable oologist . In the last years of his life he only devoted himself to butterfly studies . Paul Wendlandt was buried in St. Goarshausen.
