Paula Walendy (born October 4, 1902 , born Brandts , in Mönchengladbach ; † July 21, 1991 there ) was a German children's book author.

Act

Paula Walendy's father was Franz Brandt's Catholic social reformer . Her husband was the lawyer Bruno Walendy (1891–1976). The marriage had three children. One of the children is Oda Walendy , a German silk painter.

In the 1930s Paula Walendy worked for children's and women's radio at RIAS Berlin. When WDR it was her first children's television program in since 1950 Dusseldorf and Cologne involved: Kids hours (1951-1972). At the same time she published the weekly children's page Tra-Ri-Ra in the Westdeutsche Zeitung .

Paula Walendy published a total of more than 40 children's books, mainly at Nordland Verlag , Herold Verlag , Thienemann Verlag and Bertelsmann .
