Pauliina Vilponen (born February 20, 1992 in Nakkila , Finland ) is a Finnish national volleyball player .

Career

Pauliina Vilponen started playing volleyball at the age of six. In 2009 she was discovered and signed by the Finnish club Liiga Eura . After one season, she moved to Hämeenlinna to the league competitor HPK Naiset and was Finnish runner-up in 2012. She then returned to LiigaEura. On the recommendation of the former trainer of Schweriner SC and today's Finnish national trainer Tore Aleksandersen , she moved to Schweriner SC for the 2013/14 season and was able to play there for the first time in the Champions League . After a year in Schwerin, she was signed in 2014 by Bundesliga competitor 1. VC Wiesbaden . In 2015 Vilponen returned to her home country to LP Viesti Salo .

Vilponen has also been active for the Finnish national team since 2011 and has so far played 18 games. In parallel to her volleyball career, Vilponen is studying law at the University of Turku .
