The Paulina karst rat ( Saxatilomys paulinae ) is a rodent from the group of old world mice (Murinae). It was described in 2005 . The art epithet honors the British mammal login Paulina D. Jenkins from the Natural History Museum in London.

The fur of the Paulina Karstratte is dark gray on the back, the belly is lighter, the feet are gray-brown. The tail is significantly longer than the body. There are narrow rings around the eyes, the ears are gray-brown and relatively large.

The species was discovered in the Khammouan region of southern Laos , where it inhabits areas of karstified limestone. The animals are nocturnal and probably feed mainly on insects .

Nothing is known precisely about the degree of risk. The IUCN lists the species in the category " data deficient ".
