Paulinus (Consul 277)
Paulinus was a Roman senator . In 277 he was full consul with Emperor Probus .
Paulinus is otherwise unknown. He can probably not be identified with the proconsul of Africa of the year 283, Lucius Iulius Paulinus , as the period in between seems too short. An identification with Sextus Cocceius Anicius Faustus Paulinus , the proconsul of Africa, between 264 and 268, should also be excluded. Because of the relative rarity of the cognomen Paulinus , it could have been his son. He could then have been the brother of the consul of 298, Marcus Junius Caesonius Nicomachus Anicius Faustus Paulinus .
