Paulius Zolubas

Paulius Zolubas (born December 11, 1960 ) is a Lithuanian forest official, forest entomologist , behavioral scientist and phytopathologist , head of the forest authority Valstybinė miškų tarnyba (VMT).

Life

After graduating from secondary school in 1977, Paulius Zolubas studied biomedical sciences and in 1983 graduated as a biologist, teacher of biology and chemistry at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Vilnius University . From 1983 he worked at the Miškų institutas in the Kaunas district . On September 28, 1993, Zolubas obtained his doctorate in agricultural sciences on the behavior of the forest pest book printer on the subject Žievėgraužio tipografo elgesio ypatumai feromonų šaltinio atžvilgiu in entomology at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija . From 1990 he taught at the Aleksandras Stulginskis University, later as a lecturer . In 2008 Zolubas completed his master's degree in forest science at the Aleksandras Stulginskis University in Kaunas .

From 2001 to December 31, 2002 Zolubas was director of the public forest protection institute Miško apsaugos stotis . From 2003 to 2010 he headed the Lithuanian Forest Protection Authority ( Miško sanitarinės apsaugos tarnyba ) in Girionys until it was reorganized and dissolved. From July 2003 he was a council member of the Miškų institutas. From 2010 to 2014 Zolubas worked as deputy director of the VMT authority. Since November 2014 he has been head of the VMT authority in Kaunas . He also teaches at the Institute of Forest Biology and Forest Science of the Faculty of Forests and Ecology of the Aleksandras Stulginskis University.
