Pavel Baran

Pavel Baran (born April 25, 1957 in Ostrava ) is a Czech lecturer at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Ostrava.

Life

After graduating from high school in Frýdek-Místek , he studied philosophy from 1976 to 1981 with a PhD, which was followed by a doctorate in CSc. connected. Since 1986 he has worked at the Institute of Philosophy of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic , which he is currently director.

Teaching

His main interest is in the philosophical research of values ​​and values. His areas of expertise are philosophy, history of philosophy, political philosophy, history of modern philosophy, and contemporary political thought. He also works as a translator of German and French texts.
