Pavel Dědeček

Pavel Dědeček (born December 27, 1885 in Prague ; † November 23, 1954 there ) was a Czechoslovak conductor and music teacher.

life and career

Dědeček worked as a conductor in Brno and Bratislava and was head of the Pilsen Opera House. He taught conducting at the Prague Conservatory . His students include Rafael Schachter , zbyněk vostřák , Karel Husa , Hynek Sluka , Jindřich Praveček , Václav Neumann , Václav Smetáček , Karel Ančerl , Viktor Kalabis , Tibor Andrašovan , Karel Berman , jarmil burghauser , Jan Hanuš and Miloslav Kabeláč .
