Pavel Drsek [ ˈpavɛl ˈdr̩sɛk ] (born September 22, 1976 in Kladno ) is a former Czech football player on the position of central defender .

Career

Drsek began his footballing career in 1981 with Lokomotiva Kladno and then played between 1986 and 1993 for Poldi Kladno . In 1994 and 1995 he was again in the squad at Lokomotiva Kladno. Other clubs in 1995 were Union Cheb and FK Tachov. In 1996 he returned to Cheb, but switched to SK Kladno that same year . In 1997 Drsek first played for SK Rakovník and then went to FK Chmel Blšany .

In 1999 he signed a contract with MSV Duisburg . After six years in which he played 155 games in the 2nd Bundesliga (17 goals) and 12 Bundesliga games (one goal) for Duisburg, the central defender came to VfL Bochum in the summer of 2005 on a free transfer . In the second division team of the 2005/06 season of VfL Bochum the 1.91 m tall Drsek had a regular place.

In the summer of 2008 Drsek moved to Panionios Athens , but played only one league game for the Greek first division club and returned to SK Kladno in January 2009. For the 2009/10 season Drsek moved to FK Baumit Jablonec .
