Groups against capital and nation (formerly: young left against capital and nation ) is a left-wing extremist, Marxist organization founded in 1999 .

In the 1990s there were serious conflicts within the young democrats / young left between the left-wing liberal and radical-democratic wing on the one hand, and the anti-national and Marxist wing on the other . The last-named wing then stopped working in the association in 1999 and has since acted as an independent youth organization Junge Linke . It was initially active in Lower Saxony , Berlin , Bremen , Baden-Württemberg , Saarland , Hamburg and Thuringia , but now only has regional associations in Lower Saxony, Saarland and Thuringia as well as member groups in Berlin and Bremen that act under their own names. In 2011 there was also a local association in Nuremberg, and the “Basic Group Social Criticism Salzburg” and the “iCritics - Egoists for Planned Economy” group joined the federal association. In 2013 the Young Left renamed themselves into groups against capital and nation .

The association has its roots in the radical democratic youth . This emerged after 1982 in Lower Saxony as a state association of young democrats. In 1999 he temporarily stopped his organizational work in the federal association.
