Pavel Núñez

Pavel Elías Núñez Ramírez (born March 2, 1979 in Santo Domingo ) is a Dominican singer and composer.

At the beginning of his musical career, Núñez worked with various Dominican groups, for which he also composed. With a series of Saturday performances in the Casa de Teatro , he became known to a larger audience and in 2001 received an exclusive contract with the RCC Records label . He recorded his first album Paso a Paso and also performed with other musicians, including in New York with Danny Rivera . In early 2002 he worked with Alejandro Sanz , Carlos Varela and Fito Páez and made his first of five tours through the universities of the Dominican Republic. The others followed in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Núñez 'second album, De Vuelta a Casa, Disco , was a live recording of a concert at the Casa de Teatro . Atlantis followed with duo recordings with Milly Quezada , Danny Rivera and Gilberto Santa Rosa , Antología de un Principiante and El tiempo de Viento . As a composer Núñez worked for Milly Quezada and Gilberto Santarosa, among others. In 2004, 2006 and 2007 he was awarded a Premio Casandra as Artist of the Year. His album Atlantis was nominated for a Latin Grammy .
