Paweł Anweiler
Paweł Anweiler (born June 16, 1950 in Kalisz ) is a Lutheran theologian , member of the Church Synod and from 1992 to 2016 was Bishop of the Diocese of Teschen of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland, with an official seat in Bielsko-Biała ( Bielitz ).
Career
From 1974 to 1976 Paweł Anweiler was vicar in Kalisz ( Kalisch ) and from 1976 to 1979 he worked as a parish administrator in Kępno ( Kempen ), from 1977 also as a parish administrator of Kalisz, Turek , Stawisczyn and Ostrów Wielkopolski ( Ostrowo ).
From 1979 to 1991 he worked as a parish administrator, then also as a pastor in Częstochowa ( Czestochowa ), and then in 1991 to become pastor in Bielsko-Biała ( Bielitz ).
From 1992 he held the office of bishop of the Diocese of Teschen of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland . He handed it over to his successor Adrian Korczago on January 6, 2016 .
In 2011 Anweiler received the Officer's Cross of the Order Polonia Restituta .
