Pavel Mikhailovich Korotkov

Pawel Michailowitsch Korotkow ( Russian Павел Михайлович Коротков ; born July 24, 1907 in Moscow ; † September 23, 1983 ibid) was a Russian ice hockey player , coach and official as well as bandy and football player .

Career

Pavel Korotkow first played football for Union Moscow and Mossowet Moscow before joining the Dynamo Moscow team in 1923 , where he stayed until 1940. With Dynamo he was the Soviet football champion in 1936 and 1937 and also national cup winner in 1937 . He then ran from 1941 to 1946 for the soccer department of ZDKA Moscow . He was used both in defense and in midfield.

In the bandy Korotkow was in the years 1933, 1935 and 1936 each master with Dynamo Moscow. In 1937, 1938 and 1940 he also won the national bandy cup with the team. With ZDKA Moscow he won the cup competition in 1945 and 1946.

In 1947 he switched to ice hockey and worked as a player- coach in the ice hockey department of ZDKA Moscow . From 1948 to 1950 he was active in the same function for WWS MWO Moscow . In 1948 he competed with the team against LTC Prague . He spent the next nine years as a representative of ice hockey on the Committee on Physical Education and Sports of the Soviet Union. In 1952 he was named the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR .

From 1960 to 1967 Korotkow was an engineer and teacher at the military academy for engineers of the air force “Prof. NJ Schukowski “ employed. Among other things, he was awarded the Order of the Red Star .
