Pawel Worschew ( Kazakh Павел Воржев even Pavel Vorzhev transcribed; * 28 September 1993 in Karaganda ) is a Kazakh cyclist , who on the short-term disciplines on the track specializes.

Athletic career

2011 occupied Worschew at the Asian Championships in Thailand's Nakhon Ratchasima fifth place in the individual time trial Junior.

From 2013 Worschew started internationally on the track. In 2014 he became the national sprint champion for the first time . He was able to repeat this success four times in a row up to and including 2018. In 2018 he was also Kazakh champion in the keirin and together with Andrei Tschugai , Bogdan Ruder and Dmitri Resanow in the team sprint .

On May 30, 2018 Worschew set a new national record over 200 meters (flying) at the Grand Prix of Moscow with 9.778 seconds. In August of that year he started at the Asian Games in Jakarta and finished eleventh in the Keirin and sixth in the team sprint with Maxim Naljotow and Sergei Ponomarjow .

At the 2018/19 Track Cycling World Cup in Hong Kong , Worschew finished sixth in the Keirin.
