Pavlo Tarnovetsky
Pavlo Heorhijowytsch Tarnowezkyj ( Ukrainian Павло Георгійович Тарновецький , Russian Павел Тарновецкий / Pawel Tarnowezki ; born February 22, 1961 in Storoschynez , international Ukrainian fighter for the late 1980s , Soviet Union ) is a former Soviet fighter .
He had his most successful season in 1987. At the World Athletics Championships in Rome , he won the bronze medal with a personal best of 8375 points behind the East German Torsten Voss (8680 points) and the West German Siegfried Wentz (8461 points). In the same year he won the prestigious all-around meeting Décastar in Talence. In 1988 he was sixth at the all- around meeting Götzis and finished tenth at the Olympic Games in Seoul .
